Pentwyn Lake clean up

Pam Williams of Bryn Celyn Tenants and Residents Association organised a Pentwyn Lake clean up on Sunday October 12th. This was to improve the area generally, but to also ensure the lake was maintained for the local anglers who regularly fish there.

The event was well attended , with Cllr Judith Woodman and Cllr Paul Chaundy, members of the Bryn Celyn TRA , local residents,  anglers  and Chris O'Sullivan from the Council’s Tenant Participation Team, helping to remove litter and clearing overgrown areas of the lake.

It was a beautiful sunny morning and it was hard work removing the vegetation, dredging, cutting and raking under the advice of park ranger Kevin Date, who was also very busy.

If you would like more information about organising a local event in your area, please contact Tenant Participation - email: tenantparticipation@cardiff.gov.uk or tel: 029 20537 511 who will be pleased to help.
